My ears perked up tonight when my 12 year old son said,
"Mom, I don't know if I did something brave, or something stupid."

I agreed with him that there was a fine line between the two. He's embarking on those painful relationship lessons. Unfortunately, I am told that I have no helpful ideas or experience to share.

Have you ever done something that walked the fine line between brave & stupid?

There is a fine line between the two.
Although, I think it's possible to do something that is equally both stupid and brave.

I hope it was more toward the brave side for him.

Good for him for recognizing that there's a difference. That alone is a huge step.
I think some of the best parts of life are lived right around that line.

Isn't stupidity in the eye of the beholder? Or is that something else? ;-)

I think you've got it backwards, it's in the eye of the parent.

Unfortunately, history is the judge. Its brave if turns out alright, stupid if it fails.

The line between bravery and stupid has often been blurred by distance as I gaze northward toward that foreign land of Bravery, relishing my firm establishment in the country of stupidity. I have often been asked to be the leader of these Stupidites since I am so good at it.
