I'm trying to keep all the seepage and stench in check, but sometime is just creeps right in. It takes quite an effort to control

Did you have another basement calmity? I hope you can get it properly fixed so it doesn't happen again.

No, just the same hydrostatic pressure against my floating basement floor. Should be fixed now. I had a perimeter drain system installed. It's just a big project that will be invisible once new carpet is installed. The upside is I should have my lovely guest room available for fall travelers.
good to know you won't be losing that precious space :)
Fall?...Fall??! Gosh, I wish I could invite myself and family.
What a mess. I know about the hydrostatic probelm. I have it as well under my house. Blah!
