ugh, i hate that stuff too.
better than metal armor, i guess.
It totally drives me nuts. Last week, I bought E a cellphone cover for Hanukkah - we had to hack it open with a scissors. When it turned out not to fit the phone, I brought it back to the store for exchange... the cust svc guy at Verizon just popped open the new case with his bare hands! Argh.
It's a recent thing as a result of terrorist activities in the middle east. Talk to Homeland Security about it.
