McDonald's has a new one-third pound bacon cheeseburger. It has 790 - 820 calories, depending who you ask. That is nearly half of the daily recommended allowance. Do you want fries and a coke with that? You can double that count. Almost your full amount of daily calories, 102% of your RDA of sodium, 98% of your RDA of fat, and likely eaten in your car in less than 10 minutes.

Do we need this?
Will we eat it?
What are we thinking?

No.

Will we eat it?

Darn right. Do you know why McDonalds introduced this Burger?

Because Hardee's was kicking their butts with the Hardee's 1/3 pound Angus thick burger.

What are we thinking?

Hardee's and McDonalds are in the business to sell food. As one Hardee's executive put it, we ain't your momma or your daddy. If our customers want something we try our best to give them what they want.

Do I eat those burgers? Nope. Well, seldom. Like anything else in life, moderation is the key.

it's called 'heart attack on a bun,' but in one respect, they're right - it's not their job to police what you eat. just because they sell it doesn't mean you have to buy it.

in fact, if not enough people buy it, they will stop selling it. the power of the purse!

Have you seen that documentary "Super Size Me"? Check it out. It's an eye opener.
